Biography

With an impressive career spanning over 40 years, Dan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to PowerHouse. He will be providing comprehensive dispute resolution services, including mediation, arbitration, and special master/court-appointed neutral assignments.

Dan’s extensive litigation background has been focused on personal injury cases, including products liability, premises injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and various other personal injury matters. Recognized for his meticulous trial preparation, Dan leverages this skill in his mediation practice to achieve successful win/win outcomes.

As an ADR Professional, Dan is uniquely positioned to educate parties on the risks and potential outcomes of trials, drawing from his deep litigation experience. His engaging interpersonal style, empathy, and objectivity enable him to effectively connect with parties guiding them towards reasonable compromises.

In addition to his legal prowess, Dan is an esteemed lecturer, often sought after both locally and nationally, to share his insights on trial practice and ADR. He has been recognized as a Minnesota Super Lawyer and the “Power 30” of Personal Injury Law.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dan is dedicated to his community, serving as the Mayor of Sunfish Lake. This role has provided him with a profound understanding of municipal and governmental practices. He is a past President and longstanding member of the Douglas K. Amdahl Inn of Court, embodying the group’s principles of ethics, civility, and professionalism.
